Here too, the “bigger is better” mentality is not always the best method to follow. We recommend any pool that is 26,000 gallons or less be using a 250,000 BTU heater, anything more than that would be simply wasting energy. However, if you plan to run it and maintain temperature outside the pool season you may want to consider a higher BTU heater; Performance Pool & Spa will simply up-size the heater to make sure you are running at full efficiency.
